Ontario Construction User Council (OCUC) is a unique non-profit organization originally founded 49 years ago by major corporations to represent their construction buying interests to the Province of Ontario.
Its members were originally drawn from all sectors of industry including oil and gas, chemicals, mining, automotive, glass, electric power, and transportation.
Today, OCUC members include major Users of construction services (Owners) and Construction related service providers across a number of business sectors. OCUC Users have an estimated annual constructed value of over $20B representing hundreds of significant projects across the province.
OUR GOAL
Our Council goal:
To provide a forum for the exchange of safety and health information, construction best practices, emerging practices and technology, and promotion of ideas to improve customer services. The information is disseminated at regularly scheduled General Council meetings where the members get information, focus on important current issues and solutions that are freely discussed with input from subject matter experts.
